Title:
Improving Health and Work:Changing Lives. The Government's response to Dame Carol Black's review
Author:
DWP and DoH
Outline:
This document sets out the Government’s response to Dame Carol Black’s review of the working age population, ‘Working for a Healthier Tomorrow’. It outlines the support which they are putting in place for individuals, for healthcare professionals and for employers. This includes testing a range of early intervention services, including piloting ‘Fit for Work’ services, providing health professionals with tools to better address health and work issues and working with employers to provide them with tools and support to help people return to work from a period of sickness absence. The importance of this issue has brought together departments across Government to develop a concerted response, and they will be working with others to deliver all the changes needed.
