On-line or face-to-face delivery options

Since 2008 RNL and VRC have been working with the Department for Work and Pensions and partners in Austria, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Spain and Turkey to trial their training course delivery and evaluation mechanisms and VR content. Our courses are offered in UK and Europe and will form part of the Estonian Social Worker qualification framework and be adopted by one of Austria’s biggest training providers.

Aim of the courses: To improve the understanding and skills used in securing employment and return to work programming for people who have suffered accident, injury or disability.

Learning objectives: The learning outcomes for under (post) graduate are:

• Discuss (critically evaluate) the process, tools and methodology underpinning vocational rehabilitation case management, and reflect on their use in safe and effective practice
• Apply the understanding by demonstrating the skills required to undertake initial assessments, plan and manage programmes for people with illness, injury or disability, using appropriate formats

Learning methods: demonstration, practical exercises, discussion, web based assessment.

Delivery: This course can be offered on-line, in group sessions or as a combination of both. Individual and organisational VR learning is based on a comprehensive Learning Needs Analysis and incorporates DWP best-practice course design and evaluation principles (2008). • Thirty credit course - £950
• One-day open course - £200

There will be a maximum of 12 participants on each face-to-face course.
